Week 18

Almost half a foot! At 18 weeks, your baby is around 5.6 inches and weighs 6.70 oz. Your baby’s hearing gets better each week, and you might like the bonding of singing and talking to baby.

Your baby’s nervous system is also starting to develop myelin, a fatty substance that insulates baby’s nerves. Myelin is super important as it protects nerve cells so the body can communicate. To help facilitate this growth, you can add extra leafy greens, eggs, beans, and other nutrient rich foods to your diet.

You might be experiencing some aches and pains as baby continues to grow and your organs continue to rearrange. Ask your doctor about your options for pain releif!
