Finally, you’re pregnant!

Finally, you're pregnant! Sperm and egg have officially merged into one single cell, called a zygote. There’s a lot going on inside this cell. Chromosomes from you and your partner are combining to decide your baby's gender, hair, and eye color — even their budding personality!

As the zygote travels down the fallopian tubes toward the uterus, it continues to divide. Two cells are now four, four cells are now eight. These cells will eventually create every organ in your baby's body! How cool is that?
